Painting Studio
Instructor: Nina Weiss
Delve deep into your painting practice! Master composition, gesture, line, color study & expressive color usage. Techniques such as broken brushstroke, optical color mixing, layering and glazing will be studied. Individual instruction and group critique will enhance the students' learning experience.

Painting Studio: Color Exploration
Bring richness; color and depth to paintings. Using a limited palette guided and inspired by color theory; students will implement techniques such as layering, optical mixture, broken brushstroke, and glazing to create complex, expressive color. Basic ideas about painting will be reviewed. Students will learn about materials and techniques in the medium of their choice, including gouache, acrylic, and oil. Students will learn to construct paintings with a variety of subject matter; using information about composition; color; gesture; and line.
